On Tuesday 18 April, a group of Lighthouse Corporate Partners and supporters attended a beautiful lunch to acknowledge & celebrate 30+ years of the Lighthouse Foundation and to also highlight Youth Homelessness Matters Day, a pivotal time we can reflect on the incredible work that Lighthouse has achieved.
This celebration lunch was organised and hosted by T. House founder Tina Nettlefold, who has been an incredible long-standing supporter of Lighthouse Foundation over the years.
The event was MC’ed by Lighthouse Foundation Patron, Jo Stanley, who beautifully summed up the partnership between Lighthouse and T. House. She recognised and celebrated the immense support that both organizations have provided each other over the years. Jo went ahead to interview Tina on the couch, asking her questions that explored their partnership’s impact on Lighthouse Foundation. Tina had warm words for the Lighthouse team, professing her admiration for their steadfast commitment to ending youth homelessness.
Jo then spoke with Lighthouse Foundation Founder Susan Barton AM, who shared some significant milestones achieved by Lighthouse over the years. She talked about the many young people who have passed through their doors and have been given a second chance at life.
Also, present at the event was former Lighthouse young person, Christine Campbell, who also shared her powerful story. Christine talked about the positive impact that Lighthouse has had on her life over the years, and how she is currently thriving in her career and personal life.
T.House styled the room which was at the gorgeous Elwood Bathers where guests enjoyed a Greek inspired lunch served on crockery and in glassware from Tina’s T. House range. The gorgeous range is sold online and all profits are donated to T. House’s selected charity partners, including Lighthouse Foundation.
We are so deeply grateful for Tina’s commitment to supporting Lighthouse and feel so inspired by her enthusiastic compassion for the work that we do. Tina goes above and beyond on every occasion and we are so grateful that we get to include Tina in our Lighthouse family.
