Lighthouse Foundation is proud to celebrate one year of powerful partnership and shared impact with the Jellis Craig Foundation, which is helping to transform the lives of vulnerable young people who have experienced homelessness or significant hardship.

Since July 2024, Jellis Craig has committed $100,000 annually to support Lighthouse Foundation’s life-changing therapeutic care programs for three years. This generous contribution is helping us to provide safe homes, trauma-informed care, and tailored support for some of Victoria’s most vulnerable children and young people in Lighthouse’s care.

Grounded in shared values, this partnership demonstrates what’s possible when purpose-driven organisations unite to create meaningful social change.

Making tangible change through working bees

Thanks to the hands-on support of the Jellis Craig Foundation team, two Lighthouse homes have been lovingly revitalised.

Our homes are more than just houses; they’re the first safe space many of our young people have ever known. They provide comfort, stability, and the foundation for healing from trauma.

Over the past year, 25 dedicated volunteers joined us across two working bees to refresh garden spaces, trim hedges, and clean and repaint key areas. Volunteers went the extra mile at our Eastside home – scrubbing windows, cleaning the pool, and repainting the external balustrade with care and pride.

The Jellis Craig team’s enthusiasm to roll up their sleeves and support on the ground has been inspiring. Their efforts have helped create warm, welcoming environments that support the therapeutic work happening inside.

With their backing, our care programs are reaching more young people, empowering them to recover, rebuild, and move forward with strength and resilience.

Looking Ahead: Year Two and Beyond

As we step into the second year of this inspiring partnership, we’re filled with gratitude and optimism for what lies ahead.

Together with Jellis Craig Foundation, we have a vibrant calendar of engagements planned. From continued working bees and a Christmas gift drive, to a team cooking day and essential item packing initiative. Each activity will directly support the young people in our care.

We’re incredibly thankful to the Jellis Craig Foundation team for their unwavering commitment and heart. This partnership isn’t just transforming homes — it’s transforming lives.

“This partnership is about creating real, lasting change. With Jellis Craig’s support, we’ve not only refurbished homes, we’ve helped restore hope. Their commitment has enabled us to deliver the kind of care that transforms trauma into healing.” – Susan Barton AM, Founder and Director of Lighthouse Foundation

“Partnering with Lighthouse Foundation allows us to make a direct and meaningful impact. We believe every young person deserves the chance to thrive, and we’re committed to helping them build brighter futures.” – Elizabeth Morello, General Manager of Jellis Craig Foundation
