In late February, Lighthouse Chairman Len Warson and Elana Warson hosted an intimate and exclusive Evening of Art and dining in their home, auctioning a collection of local artworks to support Lighthouse’s vital work supporting Victoria’s most vulnerable children and young people.
We were privileged to hear from Lighthouse Ambassador and MC for the night Harry Sanders and Graduate Patron and newly appointed board member Christine Campbell, who shared their powerful stories of overcoming youth homelessness – moving and inspiring everyone in the room. Acclaimed Melbourne Street artist Tyrone ‘Rone’ Wright also joined us to speak about his family’s experience with foster care and how that enriched his childhood – a theme that resonates deeply with Lighthouse and one of our key programs. His words added a powerful, emotional layer to the evening.
The energy of the room was full of love and empathy—a true testament to the power of community. Thanks to the generosity of our community, the evening raised more than $380,000 to support our young people in need across various Lighthouse programs.
Together, we’ve made a meaningful difference for the children and young people we support, we couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who lent a hand in making this event truly impactful.
