Being a carer with the Lighthouse Foundation is not a job. It is a commitment we make to the young people, and one which I take very seriously. We give a lot to these kids, but to be honest, they give us so much more back. Male Primary Carer, 43

Every morning before I leave for work, I go into Sarah's room and give her a kiss and a hug goodbye. She always tells me she loves me and every night she reminds me not to forget. Sarah has huge problems controlling her anger and finds it very hard to trust others. With Lighthouse she has found a place where she feels safe enough to ask for the love and affection that she missed out on growing up.
