William Angliss Lighthouse, Ballarat

Located in a central position in this regional Victorian city, the William Angliss Lighthouse was opened in 2002.  This beautiful, modern home was purchased with the financial support of The William Angliss (Victoria) Charitable Fund.

In June 2007, the Ballarat home suffered extensive damage as a result of a fire.  The home is currently undergoing repairs – in the meantime, the young people and carers are living in temporary rental accommodation.  The fire has had a significant impact on these people, who have already suffered tremendous disadvantage and trauma throughout their lives, however they have also been overwhelmed by the incredible generosity and support of the local community since the fire.
