Live In & Respite Residential Youth Worker Positions
Lighthouse currently has full and part-time live-in residential youth worker positions available, as well as non-live-in respite positions. Lead Tenant - Lighthouse Transition Program
The Lighthouse Foundation have been providing family home environments to support young at risk people for almost twenty years in Melbourne. We are now looking to expand our model to include two transitional homes for young people ready to live more independently. To do this we need your help!!
Lighthouse is currently seeking up to 4 suitable adults (2 per household) to live in and provide a supervisory role to support up to 4 young people per home. The homes are situated in Boronia and Heathmont, in outer east
Melbourne . The position would ideally suit people with an interest in supporting young people at risk into a stable independent pro social lifestyle. Studying in the areas of psychology/social work/youth work would support the role and those who are seeking to live rent and bill free in exchange for a level of mentoring and support will reap the rewards!! Case management support will be provided to the young people by Lighthouse staff for daily needs. The Lead Tenant is a volunteer for the Lighthouse Foundation Transition Program. We are hoping to commence the transition program by September 2008.
